Integrated Research Training Group - Education to top researchers

The Integrated Research Training Group has been developed to allow doctoral candidates a high quality, translational education focused on life science parallel to their PhD thesis.

Medical research is not only done in clinic or in laboratory – medical science is both. Thus all graduates within the CRC1181 program receive a structural education and mentoring program to be prepared for a scientific career as medical researcher. The graduates have gained a comprehensive qualification in the field of basic and clinical research by completion of the dissertation. They have learned to think outside the box, have taken active part to an interdisciplinary research network as well they have received comprehensive know-ledge about inflammation from molecular mechanism to diseases.
