RESOLVE – Promotion of Young Researchers

This year, for the first time, the DFG-funded CRC1181 “Checkpoints for Resolution of Inflammation” is offering RESOLVE funding for young researchers. This funding supports innovative project ideas from scientists at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen in the field of inflammation research.

The funding is intended to enable young scientists to work on an innovative project idea within inflammation research in order to gain preliminary data that will ideally lead to their own project within the framework of the third funding period of the CRC1181.

We are looking for project approaches that ideally lead to an expansion of the CRC1181’s research activities in terms of content. Funding is available for project outlines that dare to look beyond the horizon, have future potential, are translationally oriented and fit thematically into the research concept of the CRC1181. In 2021, one to two ideas will be supported with a one-time grant totalling 24,000 euros to finance their own position.

Postdoctoral researchers who are employed at an institution of the FAU or the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen and whose doctoral degree was completed no more than 6 years ago at the time of the submission deadline can apply. In accordance with the DFG guidelines for young researchers, parental leave of two years per child will be taken into account.

Applications must be submitted online via the application form, including a project outline and a curriculum vitae in table form.

Deadline for submission: 07 July 2021
